Harry A. Devenny | Harry Adams Devenny was born Christmas Eve in 1932 in Edgewater Park. He joined the US Navy in 1952 and served until 1956 during the Korean Conflict. He served aboard the minesweeper USS Engage (MSO 433), becoming a Plank Owner in later years. Harry attained the rank of Electrician Mate 1st Class. He was awarded the Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Korean Medal and China Medal. He married Patricia A. Ullman and his family moved to Delanco where they were active at Dobbins Memorial Church. Harry served as Scout Master for Scout Troop 19 in Delanco. Harry worked as a lab tech and shipping supervisor for Hercules, retiring after 38 years of service.
